This journal publishes scientific discoveries and applications for the animal sciences and animal production systems. The primary focus is on innovations and technologies that have immediate (or emerging) application in domestic animal agriculture. More fundamental (basic) articles are also welcome if the application to animal science is readily obvious and can be communicated to readers. Types of articles published include reviews, invited reviews, articles from symposia and conferences, original research articles, short communications, and technical notes. About ARPAS The purpose of the American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists (ARPAS) is to provide certification of professional status for qualified members of the society, to strengthen animal sciences among the professions, and to promote animal sciences and the profession of animal scientists. Continual education is required of all certified professionals to keep abreast of rapidly changing technology in their fields. Call for papers ARPAS members and nonmembers are invited and encouraged to submit manuscripts for review and possible publication in Applied Animal Science (AAS) . The main purpose of AAS is to publish high quality, peer-reviewed, science-based information for animal industry professionals on a wide range topics and species.
